CONFEDERATE “WISH BONE” STYLE FRAME BUCKLE RECOVERED NEAR FREDERICKSBURG

$750.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 2023-1445

This is a beautiful Confederate relic. Frame measures 96mm wide x 65mm tall. Complete with two-tine “wish bone” hook which moves freely. No breaks or cracks, a very nice belt plate.

A great mix of green patina and dirt; it was never “scrubbed” clean. Found by an old-time digger who lives in Falmouth and relic hunted all around Fredericksburg.

Wonderful example of a common Confederate soldier’s belt buckle.   [jet] [ph:L]
