Model 1839 cartridge box plate with central “US”. Plate has a great face with a nice brown patina with light patches of oxidation. Initials scratched under the “US”. A few dings along bottom edge.
Reverse has 100% of the lead fill with the two wire loops remaining strong.
This plate was recovered by an older collector and relic hunter near Fredericksburg, Virginia. [jet] [ph:L]
