Stamped brass “Jeff Davis” or Hardee Hat eagle insignia used to pin up the side of the Model 1858 Army felt dress hat.

Brass surface has a dark patina with a small crack at bottom near the center.

No attachment loops are present.

Item was recovered at Shiloh.  [AD] [PH:L]
