Offered here is a group of relics recovered among the trenches along Mineral Springs Road, Battle of Chancellorsville.

Included is a US large cent, an 1863 Patriotic token, two gilted Eagle poncho hook buttons (iron hook gone), Eagle cuff buttons, two Eagle coat buttons (one still retains blue cloth on the back). Condition is good on all the relics.

Mineral Springs Road is located in the woods, northeast of the Chancellor House site. Mineral Springs Road is an extension of Bullock Road where they are bisected by Eley Ford Road heading north. This was General Hooker’s last line of defense prior to the complete withdrawal of the Army of the Potomac, and extensive trenches were prepared throughout the woods.
