Offered here is an excavated flintlock and cock, recovered around Yorktown, Virginia.

Smaller size, from pistol or rifle, measuring 4.5” long. In typical “dug” condition having a rusty and pitted surface. Lightly cleaned and coated with clear lacquer. Very near complete with frizzen, feather spring, cock (a gray flint has been glued in place) on the front side. On the back is the mainspring, tumbler, sear, and most other mechanical parts.
