This interesting relic is an iron, hand forged side-knife that measures 15.75” long overall. Double edged blade is 11” long. Oval cross guard is also iron and measures approximately 2.75” x 1.0”.
Iron is rusty but not heavily pitted; very nice condition. From an old collection and reported to have been recovered from Fleetwood Hill, a prominent feature of the Brandy Station battlefield. [jet] [ph:L]
