This is a coat button from a Confederate cavalryman’s coat. Known as a “Lined ‘C’” button. 23mm in diameter. Large, lined roman “C” on face, with small push on lower, right area. Straight shank with pushed in back. No backmark. This is a dug button with patchy green patina overall. Unknown recovery location.
