This interesting relic is the brass butt plate from a Model 1816 musket like those made by “A. Waters” of Millbury, CT.

This relic is a particularly heavy and uniquely shaped brass butt plate. It has a mix of green and brown patina and remains undamaged.

Recovered near Fredericksburg, Virginia.  [jet] [ph:L]
