This Ryker case (5.5” x 4.5”) holds relics from Fort Stanley, Knoxville, TN. Included are seven bullets (all but one is fired), a shard of green glass, and a piece of mess knife blade. Found by author/publisher Dean Thomas.

Fort Stanley was erected by Union troops during the Civil War. The fort is part of a series of earthworks located on the high ridges just south of the Tennessee River. The additional earthworks include Fort Higley and Fort Dickerson and these forts together, along with the natural topography, helped successfully protect Knoxville during the siege, November 17 through December 4, 1863.  [jet] [ph:jet]
