This Ryker case (6.25” x 5.25”) holds relics from the U.S. 6th Corps field hospital at Gettysburg. Included are a Williams type I bullet, small iron buckle, brass grommet, and a brass cartridge box finial. Old manilla envelope with location and date. Found by author/publisher Dean Thomas.
The field hospital of the Sixth Corps was established July 2nd near the Michael Trostle House east of Rock Creek. This hospital cared for approximately 315 wounded. [jet][ph:jet]
