Unusual variant of the “old model” Sharps carbine bullet. Also known as the “ringtail” pattern. The so-called tail was where the powder charge was attached to the bullet with a string tie.
The unusual feature of this bullet is the fourth raised band near the nose. Very nice specimen with white and tan patina. Mold seams remain visible.
