Offered here is a single, excavated U.S. Model 1859 brass spur. This style is without a gutter on the inside or the floral motif on the base of the neck. It is, however, stamped “ALLEGHENY / ARSENAL” on the outside of the bootstrap on one side. Rowel is gone. Also comes with brass strap buckle and small portion of the leather strap remaining.
Nice “dug” green patina. Recovered from the Wilderness. [jet][ph:L]
