Clearly a fired sabot with an interesting wave to it. Old yellow paper tag affixed with date and location of recovery handwritten in ink. Confederate artillery batteries were located at Drumgold’s Bluff during the Vicksburg Campaign of 1862-63. [as/ld][ph:L]
