Twenty-two various sized lead round shot recovered from Porto Bello, New Granada (Panama). This is a Spanish colony founded in 1597 by Spanish explorer Francisco Velarde y Mercado.
Shot varies in size from pistol size to musket size (~.60”) to near .80”. All with good patina.
From the collection of author/publisher Dean Thomas. These were gathered for a historic study of lead round shot that Dean was unable to complete before his death. [jet][PH:L]
