The standard ammunition for the large, 3.67-inch, 20-pounder Parrot rifled cannon. This shell was fired and is a “dug” relic but remains in very good condition. The top portion of the zinc fuse adaptor has deteriorated.
Iron sabot shows rifling grooves. Iron surfaces show very shallow pitting with an overall smooth and well-treated exterior. Drilled through zinc adaptor to disarm. Unknown recovery location. [JET] [ph:L]
