Offered here is a large iron axe head that saw heavy use! Measures approximately 7” x 4.25”. Cracks on both sides of socket and chunks of the edge chipped off. Rusty as to be expected of any excavated iron relic, but in completely solid condition. Cleaned and coated.

Recovered in the 1970s from a camp near the USMA at West Point, New York. This area on both sides of the Hudson River was vital to prevent British ships from navigating the river. This camp was occupied from about 1778 to 1783.

Revolutionary War relics are always a rarity, and as we celebrate the Semi-quincentennial (250th) anniversary during the next few years, these items will only be more difficult to obtain.  [jet][ph:L]
