Confederate 12-pounder spherical case shot for smoothbore cannons. This shell is complete with an iron side loader plug. The two small holes to accept a spanner wrench remain plainly visible.
Complete with the typical Confederate brass fuse adapter which held a paper time fuse. Iron surface is clean and lightly pitted. Drilled on the bottom and deactivated, with hole then filled.
