This “dug” Federal cartridge box plate is of the regulation 1839. Constructed in the die-struck and rolled brass method, the brass accoutrement’s face shows a clear “US” with nice smooth face and dark brown patina. Some minor lead oxidation around rim. Retains 100% of lead fill; no maker’s mark. The two wire loops remain intact. Measures approximately 85mm x 53mm.

Unknown recovery location. In very good, “relic” condition.  [jet][ph:L]
