Here is a very good example of the largest size of the Confederate Gardner pattern bullet. With typical two-groove Gardner characteristics, but in .69 caliber. Nose cast with a slight sprue remaining on the nose and a shallow cone cavity. Measures 1.18” tall and .695” in diameter. Very nice “dug” specimen with slick white and a few darker spots.
Unknown recovery location. [jet][ph:L]
