A fired confederate 3 inch Read Pattern solid iron bolt, with missing sabot. The underside revealing a rough surface from the breakaway of the iron body that held the thin brass sabot. Measuring just under 3 inches in circumference, currently standing 5 ½ inches tall and weighing 7.02 pounds. Showing a rusty pitted surface that has had a coat of clear preservative applied. Unknown meaning white letters of “UDO” written on lower surface.
