Offered here is a Confederate 3.67” (6-pounder) Bormann spherical shell. The iron body is generally smooth with light pitting. The iron has been cleaned and coated. This is complete with a Confederate copy of the Bormann fuse with a high, unthreaded upper lip. The fuse is moderately banged up, and has been “punched” at around the four second mark.

The ball has been drilled through the bottom to flush out the powder and render it safe.

Reported to have been recovered near Fort Magruder at Williamsburg, Virginia. [jet][ph:L]
