This is a fine example of a Civil War .44 Henry rimfire cartridge in excavated/relic condition. This is the round nosed variety with no headstamp. This style of cartridge is often found in later war sites where Henry rifles were present such as Petersburg, Virginia. This example is nice and solid with a coating of crusty dirt. Measures 1.37” long. Unknown recovery location.
