Numerous flags and pendants were used by both sides during the Civil War. They include regimental flags as well as 34- and 35-star United States flags and various types of Confederate flags. From left to right in this attractive, blue matted display measuring 14” x 11”, are remnants from both Union and Confederate flags:

1.   Red and white fabric from a 34-star US barracks flag

2.   Blue silk & section of tassel from a regimental flag carried by the 61st Pennsylvania Vols.

3.   White fabric from a 3rd National Confederate flag which was taken from the Confederate capital in Richmond on the day Richmond was captured, with seized bonds from the CS Treasury pasted on the back

4.  Fabric from a Confederate flag captured by Union troops at the Battle of Pittsburg Landing (Shiloh) in 1862

Documents of provenance detailing the history of each remnant as well as a Certificate of Authenticity accompany the display.
