BRITISH KOREAN WAR MARK IV HELMET

$50.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 873-53

Helmet is all original and is in excellent condition with stamped markings in the rear and both the liner and the helmet are 1952 dated.

The liner is made of black painted stiff canvas and has a pull snap with “7 ¼ FFL III 1952” markings.

These helmets are referred to as the “TURTLE” helmet. The shell shape is exactly like the Mark III helmets used on D-Day. The difference between the two is that the Mark IV has a lower bolt for the chinstrap bracket and has a liner snap as opposed to the Mark III liner fastener nut.

Mark IV helmet production started in 1945 and ended in 1946 but production restarted in the early 1950’s.     [ad] [ph:m/L]
