Cover is made of vulcanized rubber and is in unused condition.
The top portion is made up of four triangular shaped panels sewn together with a visor attached at the front. The bottom of the long skirt at the back continues around to the front forming a protection for the chin.
Chin panel is fastened on one side by a large rubber button with a “NOVELTY RUBBER CO.” back mark and whipcord stitched buttonhole on the opposite side.
The item is in very nice shape with some fold creases from age and storage.
The name “STEPHEN HENNINGER” appears in what looks to be modern ink on the inside.
Item has been deaccessioned from a Texas museum. [AD] [PH:L]
