White ribbon with blue printing meas. approx. 2.25 inches wide x 5.75 inches long. At top is “1861” and “1865.” Below dates is printed “UNION EX-PRISONER OF WAR.” Below this is a spread-winged eagle perched on a knapsack and crossed rifles. Below the rifles is a prison stockade with a Union prisoner being mauled by a dog. The bottom of the ribbon reads “22d ANNUAL REUNION PITTSBURGH, SEPT. 12, 1894.”
Ribbon has some light surface dirt throughout and some minor fraying at bottom corners. Original pin still on back.
