Ribbon commemorates the 33rd reunion of the 10th New York Cavalry from October 16-18, 1894 in Syracuse New York.  Item measures 6” long and 2 3/16” wide composed of yellow silk with silver lettering.  Two American Flag patches are sewn onto the ribbon.  Suspended from the ribbon is a celluloid circular pin that reads “33RD REUNION/ SYRACUSE,/ N.Y. /OCT. 16, 17, 18,/ 1894/ COMPLIMENTS OF C.W WILES/ WHITEHEAD AND HOAG CO. NEWARK N.J.”

On reverse, top of the ribbon is folded over with the name of the Whitehead and Hoag Company in silver lettering and a 3” fastening pin is attached.  Founded in 1892, the Whitehead and Hoag Company were known as the premier company for novelty advertisements, particularly ribbon badges.  Stitch marks from the flags are also evident on the back of the ribbon.  There is a manufacturers stamp and patent mark on the back of the celluloid pin.
