This badge is made of four silver “steps” linked together forming the “ladder”. A tarnished bullion tassel is suspended from the bottom and a silk red, white, and blue ribbon is attached to the back.
The four pieces have “CO. I. / 9 /NAT’L GUARDS / PENN.” engraved on them. There is a spring pin attached to the upper most piece.
Condition of all metal components is very good; silk ribbon shows some wear. Overall, a very nice badge. [jet] [ph:L]
