This badge commemorates the 18th Annual Reunion of the 128th New York Infantry, held in Poughkeepsie on October 18th, 1904.
The ribbon is brilliant blue and virtually free of damage. The front features silvered text and 19th Corps emblem with battle honors. The “brooch” is a commercial safety pin, reinforced on the reverse by heavier fabric and fronted by a silvered bar. A matching silvered wire tassel remains secured to the bottom pointed edge. The reverse retains a manufacturer’s tag reading “J. E. WEST & CO., / MANUFACTURERS, / POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.” and tight stitching beneath. Dimensions are 2.6” x 8.2”.
A handsome New York piece for the collector of Civil War Veterans’ items. [sr][ph:L]
