Sedgwick Post 8 of the Grand Army of the Republic was active from 1882-1924, and was located in Brattleboro, Windham County, Vermont.
This mourning ribbon, made for a veteran/member of the post, is in very good condition. No damage or wear is noted, save for rubbing of the silvered text finish on the “D” and “T” at either end of the “DEPT. of VERMONT” line. Flag ribbon square of the GAR medal motif is firmly attached. Reverse is blank. Dimensions are 7.75” x 2.45”.
