Grand Army of the Republic “Putnam” Post #142 was founded in the village of Marquette and remained active from 1883-1929.
The ribbon condition is good, with minimal fabric loss at the top edge. Embossed gold text is complete, with slight rubbing along the bottom gilt motif at the corners as shown. Two sets of very subtle pin perforations are noted near the top and just above the gilt design at bottom – likely from previous display mounting. Mounted flag ribbon of the GAR medal design on the front face remains firmly attached. Reverse is blank. Dimensions are 2.5” x 7.5”.
A nice addition to any collection of Civil War Veteran items. [cm][ph:L]
