This ribbon of white silk commemorated the 1890 reunion of the 13th Connecticut Infantry, also held on the anniversary of the Battle of Third Winchester (often referred to as “Opequon”). The 13th served in Louisiana through several arduous campaigns before being transferred east to the Shenandoah Valley at the close of the Red River Campaign.
The ribbon is in very good condition, with no staining and clean surfaces. Navy-blue text is virtually perfect with no rubbing and only two areas of miniscule fraying are noted at the bottom corners. Dimensions are 2.5” x 7”.
An excellent and appealing addition to any Civil War or Veteran item collection. [cm][ph:L]
