This ribbon commemorates the return home of the 187th from their Civil War service. Condition is good, with almost no fraying or major staining (a small hole is noted, partially obscuring the “y” of “Anniversary,” another to the right of the 5th Corps symbol, and miniscule pinholes from previous mounting to a garment are also observed). Ribbon is white silk with blue printed text and a red 5th Corps symbol – their Corps from early October of 1864 until the close of the war. Reverse is blank and clean. Dimensions are 1.5” x 6.6”.
An uncommonly detailed Grand Army of the Republic or associated veteran item, ideal for the collector. [cm][ph:L]
