Bar at top reads “NINTH REGT. M.V.M..” Bar has pin on back. Suspended from this is a red enameled 1st Division, 6th Corps badge inside a half moon that is inscribed “EMERGENCY CORPS.” No definite regimental connection has been found; may refer to the 9th Maryland (US), galvanized as an emergency regiment in June 1863, though no reference to it serving with the 6th Corps was found. Very nice condition. Meas. approx. 1.25 x 1.50 inches. [ad][ph:L]
