Offered is a Delegate badge from the 1913 national encampment held in Chattanooga, TN. Measures 5 3/8" x 2". Brooch is a wingspread eagle atop crossed cannons & cannon balls, with a cavalry saber in its talons. Pin present on reverse. Attached is the remnant of a gold ribbon with only the top portion remaining. Suspended from eagle is a bar with floral designs and "REPRESENTATIVE", also has "G A R" in red, white, and blue enamel. Below is a rectangular drop with the skyline of Chattanooga; at top in a riband is "HISTORICAL / INDUSTRIAL / COMMERCIAL". Below in another riband is "CHATTANOOGA, TENN"; underneath is "THE DYNAMO OF DIXIE". Underneath all is a circular drop with a bust at center, "FORTY-SEVENTH NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT, G.A.R. SEPTEMBER 15-20". [cm][ph:L]
