This handsome ribbon badge features a logo brooch of the final pattern, an enameled drop with gilt, a silvered scenic Portland drop, and relief drop of Orlando Sommers, the Commander-in-Chief of the Grand Army of the Republic. A Yellow ribbon shows some light dirt and fraying, but remains securely attached to the ribbon bar.
The badge comes with original box and is mounted to the original card. A smaller ribbon of plain white is tucked behind the mounting card and reads “OMAHA AND NEBRASKA G.A.R.” in black text. The representative badge measures just over 6” in length and 2.1” in width, while the Nebraska ribbon measures 1.6” x 5.5”.
An excellent addition to any GAR or Civil War Veteran collection. [cm][ph:L]
