An attractive lapel pin with pin in place on reverse. Circular form with gently scalloped edge, gilt background, enameled in red, white and blue with outer band reading in raised gilt letters against white: “61– U-C-V -65” at top and “NEW ORLEANS APRIL 25, 1906” along the lower curve. Central motif is a crossed CS battleflag and third national flag with a Louisiana crescent moon at top. This was the 16th national reunion of the organization, founded and headquartered in New Orleans, starting on April 25 and lasting through April 27.
This pin has nice bright color with just some fading to the red portions. [sr] [ph:m]
