The top part of this badge has a reversed tear drop shape with a bar running through the center. The bar is boldly stamped “MEMPHIS” at center. Above the lettering are two crossed Confederate battle flags colored in with a wonderful blue & red enamel that has kept is color strong over the years. None of the enamel is missing or chipped. Below the lettering is a scroll with “JUNE 8-9, 1909.” The drop is in the shape of a Maltese cross but with an extra arm. At center of the cross is a bust of Confederate General Albert Sidney Johnston. The arms of the cross are marked with “UNITED” “CONFEDERATE” “VETERANS” “19th” “REUNION.” Original pin remains on back.
