Original WWII era home front banner to hang in the window of a home with a member of the household, usually male, serving in the war.  The number of stars indicates the number of individuals, in this case just one.

Printed on rayon with a wooden dowl and cord for hanging.  Overall, in nice condition, with age yellowing and scattered staining. Measures 8 ¼” x 11 ¼”.  [ld] [ph:L]
