The earliest pattern of knit wool sweaters issued to US GIs in WWII before the transition to the 4-button model later in the war. Despite a new model being introduced later in the war, these sweaters continued to see service well into 1945. This sweater is still in wearable condition and is in a rare to find large size. The original information tag is still present on the interior nape of the sweater, bearing the date of manufacture as November 13th 1942. One small hole is present on the left side breast area as well as a few nips around the collar; cuffs on par with general service wear. This sweater is ideal for any WWII winter focused impressions, collections, or even for modern wear today! [gh][ph:L]
