This training aide is a trifold pamphlet with each page using cartoon like illustrations to show how to use a compass and how to shoot an azimuth.
At center is a folding compass that can be used for practice.
The back panel lists conventional signs and military symbols found on maps of the period.
Though the item is not dated, its connection to World War Two is evidenced by a US soldier on the front page and a reference to “Japs.”
A nice little item for a soldier display. [ad] [ph:L]
