Bayonet has a heavy blued socket with a bright blade that is round until the very end where it forms a point. Blued socket has markings some of which are legible others are indistinct. Visible markings are “M4” and “No 4 MK4” with an asterisk followed by “WD.” There is a large “E” stamped over the “No” with a “30” below it. Opposite side of the socket has a “5” stamped near the elbow. Locking mechanism works.
Bayonet is complete with the OD green painted metallic scabbard with ball finial and button type stud.
Khaki canvas frog is present. Back of the frog is stamped “NS & B LTD 1940” this mark is followed by a broad arrow at center of the letter “C” denoting Canadian use. Frog is in excellent condition. [ad] [ph:L]
