Item consists of an OD Green wooden handle and a iron pick and mattock head painted a khaki color.
Wood handle is in good condition with several small chips on the wide end which anchors the iron pick and mattock.
Iron pick and mattock head is in nice condition with 98% of the paint remaining. Underside of the mattock head is marked “U.S.” over “DIAMOND CALK” over “1943.”
When disassembles for carrying, both pieces are housed in a khaki canvas carrier marked “U.S.” on the outside and “J. S & S. CO.” over “1943.” [ad] [ph:L]
