This is an ATF legal receiver that anybody can own. It is a solid nonferrous metal casting made by IMA. The receiver is in good shape and came off a display Thompson submachine gun. Its design has no barrel threads with the barrel being attached with an adhesive material. The spring in the rear which locks the upper and lower receiver from moving is present, but the little stud is missing which can be easily be substituted with a small bolt. If you need a dummy receiver to complete your M1A1 Thompson, this is the one for you. [am][ph:L]
