Offered here is a fine Model 1918 canteen made by the Aluminum Company of America.
Aluminum canteen with aluminum cap and copper cap chain. Mold seam runs around the body. Marked “U.S. / ACA 1918” on back side. The front of the canteen features very nice “trench art”.
This art consists of a large German Iron Cross, over “USMC” and “1918”. Initials “MK” are also carved onto the front.
