The full title is “MAJOR GENERAL JAMES S. WADSWORTH AT GETTYSBURG AND OTHER FIELDS” published by the State of New York under the supervision of the New York Monuments Commission in 1916.

Volume is hardcover and bound in red cloth with the title and the New York State seal in gold on the front cover. Title is repeated in gold on the spine. Covers have very minor edge wear and are mostly clean. The book meas. approx. 8.00 x 11.00 inches and runs 121 pages.

Interior is clean with numerous illustrations and views of battlefields on which General Wadsworth served. Binding is good although the front signature is showing wear. Ten pages near the front of the book are slightly curled from being bumped but this is minor.  First page bears a period inscription “BEST WISHES EUGENE M. TRAVIS STATE COMPTROLLER 1915-1918.”  [AD] [PH:L]
