Massive hardcover is nicely bound in red cloth with the Great Seal of the Confederacy in silver on the front cover. Title, volume number and author are in gold on the spine. Covers are in very nice condition; color has faded slightly on the spine. Volume meas. approx. 6.50 x 9.50 inches and runs approx. 931 pages. There is no index.
Binding is excellent and the interior is also like new. Text has thirty black and white photographs and three maps.
