Title page reads “THE IRISH BRIGADE AND ITS CAMPAIGNS” by D. P. Conyngham with an introduction by Lawrence Frederick Kohl and published by Fordham University Press of New York in 1994. This was the fourth volume published in Mr. Kohl’s “Irish in the Civil War Series.”

Hardcover is nicely bound in dark green cloth with the title in gold on the spine. Covers are excellent and in like new condition as is the illustrated dustjacket which is wrapped in Mylar.

Volume meas. approx. 6.00 x 9.00 inches and runs approx. 616 pages with roster and index.

Binding is excellent and the interior is super clean. Text has numerous black and white photographs.

The Irish Brigade consisted of the 63rd, 69th, 88th, New York, the 28th Massachusetts and the 116th Pennsylvania. The brigade served in the 2nd Corps of the Army of the Potomac and took part in many of the major engagements of that army.   [AD] [PH:L]
