Rear cover in blind. Overall excellent condition, just a few small spots of foxing from title page through page 8, very minor wear to covers.
Inscribed inside front cover, “Wm L Bailey / From the author / Charles K. Cadwell.”
Charles K. Cadwell was a resident of New Haven, CT when he enlisted as a Private on 8/28/61. On 9/7/61 he mustered into Co. F, 6th CT Infantry. Promoted to Corporal 4/17/63 and Sergeant 6/7/64. Mustered ot on 9/11/64.
Further research on the recipient of the book, William L. Bailey, certainly a possibility. [ld][ph:L]
