This is a very nice pair of hand-blown wine glasses dating about 1790. They are in super condition, showing just applied black ink collection or inventory numbers on the bases that could be removed, and come from a Frederick, Maryland, collection. These display very nicely and would fit not only an early glass collection, but a collection of Colonial or early Federal material. Needless to say, we are thinking of them on a nice green table cloth background with a high-end silver-mounted flintlock pistol or gentleman’s small sword nearby, but a period wine bottle or deck of playing cards might do as well. They stand 4 7/8” tall. [sr][ph:m]
